The definition

What is ASV scanning?

ASV (Approved Scanning Vendor) scanning is a quarterly external vulnerability scan mandated by the PCI Security Standards Council for merchants and service providers that store, process, or transmit cardholder data. It's a required component of most PCI DSS Self-Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs) and Reports on Compliance (ROCs). Secusy delivers it as a self-serve subscription.

  • Delivered through your Secusy portal each quarter

  • Re-scan of remediated findings included in scope
